Tis, The Dumpling Season is Nigh..

Every year, just before the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar year, my mum would be making dumplings for all of us. Before this scrumptious dumplings can make it out of the wok, she will spent long hours meticulously preparing the ingredients, so that she will not waste them, cos there are getting more and more expensive every year. Believe me, the initial process is painstaking and very tiring. So she's really worried how it will taste like.
Dumplings: Glutinous rice the major ingredient, plus "mei tau", fung lut (chestnut), "ha mai"(shrimps), egg yolk, oyster, pork, mushrooms all make wat I call da "Home Made Dumpling".
The Final Verdict: Is almost always certainly so good, that I have to always remind her that she should open some makan shop. Dun care whether it is dumplings.... Bcoz she's really a great cook
